Hi I’m Sarah Strabala, I came in to see Dr. Khoury about 2 weeks ago for the first time, I was coming in because I was having chronic pain in the GI region, which is not something that people normally think they should see chiropractic care for, but I am here to tell people that it actually has helped me tremendously. I was living on a pain scale from 1-10 in 5 or 6 pain every day of my life and that is with pain medication, drugging me out and making me a zombie. I got tired of living that way and wanted to see if there was another opportunity for me to explore a different way to live without having to have the drugs. Realistically, I wanted to live with a 3 on a scale of 1-10 and after 2 weeks I am proud to say my pain is a 2 or less on a daily basis, I get a little emotional when I talk about that because I didn’t expect that to happen. Dr. Khoury has made a huge difference in my life and he can make a difference for you too if you give him a chance!
Colic Has Gone Away
It’s actually been going on…7 weeks, in the beginning; we actually thought he had colic. He had colic for about 4 weeks. We went from A to Z, going to the doctor’s office. There was no sleeping. He was screaming and arching his back…Completely in pain and uncomfortable. I did research trying to choose from A to Z all the methods I could do… Homeopathic, suggestions people gave me, massages, and nothing worked. The pediatrician actually said “Oh, well, he just has colic. How about you just maybe try to give him car rides, if that doesn’t work, you swaddle him, cradle him"… Which absolutely, I cannot do since I have two other kids, 11 and 7, and I can’t just wake them up in the middle of the night to take them for a car ride, even though I did try it at one point because I got so desperate. [The doctor] said to wait to couple weeks, change [the baby’s] formula, if that didn’t work; stop nursing because maybe it could be an allergy to my diet. I did stop nursing and I did try calling him two weeks later and he suggested we get him on Zantac. “I wasn’t comfortable with that"…My sister-in-law is a nursing assistant at Stanford and she suggested I come see a Chiropractor. I did some research in local area and I found you (Dr. Khoury). (Which) Actually led me to you (Dr. Khoury) was that you had a lot of information about colic and (things like this) on your website in regards to infants. (After the first adjustment) He actually slept for almost 7 hours. [He had a bowel movement] within the first hour…[The baby was only having bowel movements] every other day. He looks completely relaxed and I have family relatives making comments on how relaxed he looks.
I was diagnosed with Multiple Sclerosis in 1991. My body and health deteriorated to the point where I was confined to a wheelchair in 1994. I've been through EVERY medical treatment and though it helped slow the progression, I continued to get worse.
I met Dr. Khoury in 1998, and with his help, I can walk again! I even bought a car and can now travel without depending on my wheelchair! The quality of my life has improved dramatically since I started chiropractic care.
I came to see Dr. Khoury 6 months ago. I was suffering from severe double vision and dizziness. I was also numb, from head to toe, on the right side of my body. I went to Kaiser and they couldn't help me. I came to see Dr. Khoury and within 10 days my vision was normal, the dizziness gone, and all the feeling came back to my body. What was even more amazing was that I had also suffered from severe neck stiffness and tendonitis of my right arm for 10 years. All of those symptoms cleared up too.
20 Years of Heartburn Gone
I've had heartburn for twenty years. I took Tagament every day of my life. I originally came to see Dr. Khoury for back pain, but after getting regular adjustments all of my digestive problems cleared up. My whole family now gets adjusted and we are committed to health! Thanks Dr. Khoury.
Seven Time Tour de France winner Lance Armstrong has been receiving chiropractic care
Seven Time Tour de France winner Lance Armstrong has been receiving chiropractic care since January of 1999, helping him to keep his body together for the harsh demands of the Tour de France. After last year's Tour de France, Lance said that he could not have won without his chiropractor's help.
Mastery of five skills - base running, fielding, throwing, hitting for average and hitting with power - is the standard of greatness in a baseball player, and San Francisco Giants outfielder Barry Bonds has reached that mark. Generally regarded as the best player in the major leagues today, he has proven himself, year after year, by raising his level of play to that of the all-time greats of the game. With a recent contract extension, he is now, befitting his enormous talents, the highest-paid player in baseball. "I go to my chiropractor on a regular basis, because I want to prolong my career as long as possible," he states. "I see him about once a week, in between my training (sessions). By getting an adjustment once a week from him, I feel I can sustain my career a lot longer.
I am very fortunate to have, so-to-speak, my in-house chiropractor, Dr. Franco Colombu, as my own personal chiropractor. So, I visit Franco regularly, and he comes over to my house. He adjusts my wife, my kids, me, everybody gets an adjustment. And we feel always great when Franco leaves. Even when I have athletic injuries he's always there for me, and helps me. So it's really terrific, and I know that first hand. That's why I always will be traveling around, all over the world, talking highly about the profession of chiropractic. You chiropractic doctors are really miracle workers, and that's why it's really great to have you here, part of the Arnold Classic. Because, like I said, the Arnold Classic and Fitness Weekend are about health and about fitness and preventive care.
Decathlon Gold Medallist "If it were not for Chiropractic, I would not have won the gold medal. You obviously can't compete at your fullest if you're not in alignment. And your body can't heal if your back is not in alignment. It was the holistic idea that I liked about chiropractic and that is what track and field is about. Every track and field athlete that I have ever met has seen a chiropractor at one time or another. In track and field, it is absolutely essential. Chiropractic care is one of the things I think that no one has denied or refuted.
"Chiropractic care works for me. One of the most recognizable celebrity/athletes, holder of four Superbowl rings, three Superbowl MVP's and Player of the Year in 1990 has just agreed to become the spokesperson for Chiropractic in the State of California.
Playing in a football game is like being in 30-40 car accidents. An article in the Fort Worth Star-Telegram explains it all started after the 1994 season when Smith endured a lot of hamstring problems and he began to ask himself some tough questions. "Do I need to get more rest? Do I need to eat better? Do I need a little more training? How can I take care of my body better? Do I need to find a chiropractor? It was time for me to invest in me," Smith said. "I found a specialist that's really good in balancing out my body to make sure my hips are rotated right, and my body is functioning properly. I remember somebody telling me that what I put myself in during the games is like having a car wreck every Sunday. It's against the norm. You can find yourself in awkward positions. That stuff takes its toll. But if you take advantage of the health care, balance your body back out, put it back where it's supposed to be, you function better, and you recover faster.
I have to have an adjustment before I go into the ring. I do believe in chiropractic. I found that going to a chiropractor three times a week helps my performance. The majority of boxers go to get that edge. Dr. Khoury says, "DO NOT poison your body with drugs. Let us show you a better way to live your life.
